What can I expect from hand-printed textiles?

The two of us design, print, and dye all our textiles in small batches of no more than twenty pieces, and slight variations and inconsistencies are to be expected. These details add to the rich story told by our materials and the work of our hands—they’re a part of the process to be celebrated!

Though we do our very best to describe and photograph our textiles accurately, please remember that computer displays vary and images are only representative of each print batch. The item you receive may differ slightly from the pictures you saw online.

Do natural dyes need special care?

Many plants, insects, and other natural sources can produce color. However, not all of these colors are created equal. At Homebody, we only use natural dyes with high light- and wash-fastness, dyes that have stood the test of time. You don’t need to worry about our textiles bleeding or running when they get wet, nor will they fade quickly in the sun.

The one thing to be aware of is that natural dyes are sensitive to pH levels. Exposing your textiles to strong acids like lemon juice or strong bases like bleach can alter the dye chemistry, causing the colors to shift or fade.

Can I return or exchange an item?

We want you to be over the moon with your Homebody purchase! Please reach out to us if you have any concerns about the item you received.

If your purchase isn’t right for some reason, we are happy to exchange it for store credit toward a future purchase. Send us a message at homebodytextiles@gmail.com to initiate an exchange. Items must be sent back in their original, unused condition within 15 days of receipt. Homebody is not responsible for return shipping.

How will my order be shipped?

Domestic orders (US, Mexico, and Canada) will ship via USPS. We offer two speeds of shipping: Priority (2-3 days) and First Class/Ground (5-7 days). Shipping prices are calculated based on the weight of your order and include a flat fee of $1.50 for packaging and handling. We will make every effort to ship your order within 3 business days of receiving it.

Can I track my order?

You will receive an email with your tracking number as soon as your package ships. Please understand that we can’t guarantee delivery dates, nor can we provide tracking information beyond what USPS publishes. Also, please pay special attention to your shipping address when you make your order as we’re unable to reroute packages once they’re en route!

Do you offer international shipping?

Yes, we charge a flat $30 rate for international shipping. International orders will ship via First Class Mail. Most will arrive in 7-14 days, but they may take as long as 3 weeks. As with domestic orders, we cannot guarantee delivery dates or provide tracking information beyond what USPS supplies. Any customs or import duties levied by the receiving country are the buyer's responsibility. Please don’t ask us to mark our packages as "gifts" or reduce their stated value—it’s illegal!
